“Connect” is a very powerful sculpture representing the many disciplines being studied at the university. It symbolizes the connection between business, industry, government, technology, education, and the university, as well as the many partnerships the university has established within the community. Its segments are joined together to form a whole, the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.
“Connect” is also a symbol of the cycle of life and the cycle of continuous learning. It stands as a monument to the dynamic ideas embodied by the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.
“Connect” was installed
July 22, 2004 at UOIT, Oshawa, Ontario.
