Your Arts Council at work and play
The PineRidge Arts Council is a
non-profit organization dedicated to enhance the quality of
life within the community by developing widespread
appreciation, support and involvement in the arts.
PineRidge Arts Council members get
involved with the community and have fun. The Arts Council,
recipient of the 2000 Pickering Civic Award for Arts and
Culture, participates in Artfest, Frenchman's Bay Festival and Winterfest with
the City of Pickering.
Artists of many disciplines, artistic
groups and art supporters make-up our diverse base of members.
Our Annual General Meeting is also an Arts Event. It is open to the public
and is held in April 2.

Community Park; Dreamscape, Edward Falkenberg award winning
sculpture at Pickering Town Centre; Trashy Trash, 10 Pickering

original design on city trash cans; and The Millennium Mast,
Ron Baird’s sculpture, sits proudly on the waterfront.
Part of our Art in Public Places
Programme, in partnership with Ontario Power Generation and the
McLean Centre, Ajax brings original work to the public. The
Arts Council also co-hosts an annual Juried Art Show, open to
